Kathryn Bigelow’s 2008 movie set during the Iraq invasion is a force to be reckoned with. It firmly handles the effect of war and nicely focuses on a core section of an EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) unit letting the three main guys in this volatile surrounding bounce off one another. The themes of Army brotherhood, bomb terror and wars grip are dealt with in a devastatingly beautiful and suspenseful manner.
